I love back to school time! New clothes, new shoes and new makeup! That's really the best part!

Some of my favorite beauty secrets can help make going back to school that much more fabulous!

First, we all know that the key to great makeup is great skin, so here is a great trick to smooth your skin and help fight breakouts: Baking soda!?! That's right, baking soda! It's the best exfoliator! Mix a teaspoon or tablespoon with some water in your hand. Just enough to make it a paste. Wash your face once a week, gently scrubbing your skin. The baking soda will get rid of all the dead skin cells and balance the PH level of your skin! 

Next, Apply our XXV BEAUTY HYDRATE lotion to your face and neck, this will help make sure that your fresh new skin gets all the moisture, vitamins and protection your skin needs to look and feel great!

Pick out a new lipstick color that gives you lots of confidence and don't be afraid to show your true colors!

I love all the questions I get asked about XXV BEAUTY! This one I got asked today, so here's my response:)

Of course there are many amazing products out there, and yes, I've tried so many of them! There are specific products though, that really made me want to create XXV!

1) I've seen the ones advertised by celebrities that I just HAD to order, but once I did, I found out that the products were cheaply made with corn oil and my face started breaking out. And on top of that, they somehow set me up on some monthly payment cycle for $200 that I didn't even know about..... so uncool!!

2) Then there are some products I've tried, and loved them, but my husband didn't like the smell or my skin was sensitive to the perfume. 

3) THEN there are the products that are so natural, they go bad before you get to use it all. 

4)Or the lipsticks with bad after tastes because of the chemicals........Or the Eyeshadows that fall all over your face....... Or the mascara that flakes all day!

5) Or the skin serums that are supposed to be miraculous but after using it I found I had clogged pores that wouldn't go away, only to discover that the serum had artificial silicone in it! 

So, as you can see, I've tried a lot. I've also listened to my clients about what bothers them about the makeup brands they use. These are all the things I took into consideration when designing our line! They all have inspired me to create XXV BEAUTY.

 One of my biggest discoveries was realizing that some oils can actually start to suffocate your cells! Naturally, if our skin can't breathe, it starts to die and that's how we really start aging! 

Well ladies, skin is like a bonsai tree. If you give it the right ingredients, it will constantly repair itself! It will continue to look happy and healthy!!!! 

Now, what if I told you we created a Makeup & Skincare Line that lets your skin breathe all day, helps protect your cells with vitamin C, helps repair your skin with Vitamin E, helps kill bacteria and free radicals with Coconut Oil and Aloe Vera, and more!! Well.... we did! 

This is what we've been working on for years, and we've done it! All with the idea that your skin is IN FACT, alive! And if we keep feeding it what it needs, with good Skincare and Makeup, we will always have happy skin! That was our goal and we are happy to say, that we've gotten amazing response from wonderful people that have tried our products over the past years.

Today I got asked if fashion trends for makeup were bothering me, because they're leaning more and more towards the "no makeup, makeup look".

This was my response, 

I truly love all different makeup looks. Sometimes I love waking up, washing my face and then just putting on our XXV Hydrate moisturizer, and that's it! Done for the day. I love walking around the house with my hair in a bun, my yoga pants on and a drinking a nice cup of tea. It's super fun. 

Then there are those days where I just want to wear a little eyeliner and mascara.... you know, keep it simple! 

But then there are days where I just need to feel really pretty! I get inspired by a look, put some makeup on and I go out to lunch with friends!! It's funny, but, I observe when I do that, people sometimes treat me differently! I look and feel beautiful, and walk around with a certain confidence! People can see that and It kind of raises the standard wherever you go and it inspires people! You feel confident and classy!

Personally, one of my favorite things to do is get ALL dolled up! I'm talking the works: foundation, contouring, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, brows, mascara, eyelashes, curl my hair, put on a sexy dress, wear heels, and go on a date with my husband! He loves to show me off and make me feel beautiful, sexy, sassy and classy! I feel that it's a part of my job as a woman, to always show my man that I love him by taking care of myself and keeping the standard of my image, high! I know that playing with all these different looks, helps me to always keep some mystery about myself, and I know men love that, too!

My favorite thing about makeup, though is how it can make you feel. When I want to show I'm confident, I wear red lipstick. When I want to be sexy, I love a nude lipstick. When I want to be sassy, I wear a fun pink lipstick or lip gloss. When I'm feeling like a rockstar, a purple lipstick is just right. And when I just want to be a mom and kiss my little girl all day, our XXV Skincare is perfect!!! There are so many different looks to put on and try out, and that's why I am so in love with this business. Endless opportunities to look and feel like the most beautiful version of you that you can!

So to answer your question," no". Fashion trends, makeup wise, don't bother me, because they're personal. Everyone has a different preference and look that they love! Whatever makes YOU feel pretty and like the best version of yourself, you should go for!

So bring on all the different looks, they go with all different moods and people!

 I hope you can all share the joy that makeup can bring you! I know sometimes if I'm having a bad day, the right makeup can make me feel so much better! It's my favorite kind of therapy!
